Things that may be

Having completed the original trilogy I was left with lots of loose ends. Too many to allow me to rest easy. So I extended the series to Book 4: The Mist in the Klein Bottle: a story set in the same times and world as the trilogy but with different characters ( and some old ones) Even this didn't exhaust that theme and I have created a sixth book (Once upon a Magpie Moon) which follows the WW2 theme but is set after the war is over.

As readers of my short stories ( and parts of the Phoenix, Crystal Entanglement and Quicksilver Wyrm) can testify I have a soft spot for Nordic Mythology.  So I branched out into another theme with my fifth book 'Tales of Brannhår in Niðavellir'. The problem was that this book actually ended up with two completely separate story lines. Hence it got hacked. The fifth book is one of the story lines. It's about 200,000 words and I have lots left over.

I have added to these fragments and I am about three quarters through my eighth book which is also set in the world I created in  'Tales of Brannhår' . It's called 'A Pavane over the Sea of Time'. It is a separate story but something of a prequel and a sequel.

Paradoxically it looks like Book 8 that was to be 'Me and my Shadow' will emerge before book 7. It's looking to be quite long; in fact it's already too big to be affordable to hardcopy print (> 600 pages) : It may have to become two books unless I hack it a bit.

Currently I am considering yet another option: a compilation of short stories which surfaced in my consciousness over the years. They are mostly set in our current universe but all have a mystical content. However I want to concentrate on the main stories and so I'm considering adding these stories to the website as limited distribution freebies. (subject to the usual copyright riders): as they say : watch this space.
