Books
Blank Magic is the base title for a series of books that tell of the wartime (1939-1945) and post war  events in a fictitious world that parallels our own but where magic works. The first four stories all take place in the Britain of that period. The fifth book is connected to a main character in the first three but is set in another place and time. The sixth book returns to the main theme but the action takes place after the war has ended. The series is also supported by short stories that supply additional content. These are free to download from the free stories page.
The Blank Magic stories are written in the tradition of golden age science fiction and fantasy where you could come across anything from pure horror to steamy romance, often in the same book.Howeverone thing was essential; a sense of imagination.
The books contain elements of adventure, mystery, crime, romance and, of course, magic. They centre around a small cast of characters, both normal and magical, who populate the fringes where the normal and magical worlds meet.
They mostly take place in wartime but they are not stories about battles.  In theatrical terms wartime provides the backcloth, some of the props and part of the actor’s motivation but it does not often define the action.

Each story in the series is complete in itself but the characters and actions build as the series progresses. If you are one of those people who like to jump straight into the action then I would reccomend you start with The Crystal Entanglement or later books. However, be warned, many of the concepts, characters and terminologies are introduced in The Phoenix. Since I've tried to price the books to match the price of a cup of  coffee you can always come back to The Phoenix and the others later without breaking the bank.

If you would like to read them they are available in most popular electronic formats from your favourite e-book seller. Links to a list of sites for most common formats and subscriptions is found here The books are also available on some subscription services and in some libraries that use e-book formats.
To date the only hard copy versions of the books are those I have had printed for my friends and family... sorry.
Update May 2023
My Publisher has now included the facility to get hardcopies as Print on Demand  I am slowly converting my books to allow this to happen and I don't yet know what countries they will be available in. The downside is that POD is quite expensive as the bookstores mandate minimum prices ( I only receive the same royalty amounts as the e-books: the rest is for the bookstore and the printers). Therefore I would suggest that you should try an e-book first and then, if you like them, consider a hardcopy; the great advantage of hardcopy is that it's yours to own, requires no electricity, and you can do what you like with it
